HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Self-paced pre-learning: 30 minutes
Virtual Assessment Class: 60 minutes
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
This course is best suited for people who have not completed CPR training before.
The CPR standard virtual classroom offers a live online video conference experience, combining the benefits of a traditional face-to-face classroom with the convenience of studying from home or the workplace.
This class requires some pre-learning and is suited for those who have no prior first aid experience. It includes the same physical components as an in-person class, such as performing 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin on the floor and 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR an infant manikin.
